Intel casts off more of its memory chip business in $9 billion deal


Intel has reached a $9 billion deal to sell most of its memory business to South Korea’s SK Hynix as it moves toward more diverse technologies. The deal focuses on chips known as NAND flash memory, which store data in smartphones, computers and many other products.
