The mission by Tim Sweeney, CEO of video game maker Epic Games, to rein in the power of the big tech companies has reached a fever pitch. He is preparing for a protracted legal battle after Apple and Google banned Fortnite, Epic’s popular video game, from their stores this month for trying to get around its payment systems.
